Parenting Time Expediting
A parenting time Expeditor is a neutral person appointed to resolve parenting time disputes when parents are in disagreement. The Expeditor helps the parents facilitate a settlement by conferring with them in person or by telephone. Typically, Expeditors enforce, interpret, or clarify what is already in a court order, or determine if a court order has been violated. They might also develop parenting time schedules. The process is confidential and the Expeditor may not be subpoenaed into court. If the parties are unable to reach agreement, the Expeditor has the authority to make a decision regarding the parenting time schedule. The Expeditor shares the decision with the parents. The decision is binding unless vacated or modified by the court. Bonnie Barlow of Transitions is a trained Expeditor and is a Rule 114 qualified neutral mediator.
